The Merrell House

The Merrell House is a well preserved example of a Greek Revival homestead in Reconstruction-era Texas, circa 1870. The house has been restored, providing a stylish tea room, three additional entertaining rooms and a versatile rustic room providing an elegant backdrop to events and parties. The gracious interior of the house is extended and enhanced by a spacious covered patio overlooking a traditional English style garden. The courtyard includes a fountain and gazebo, which is the perfect setting for classic and elegant functions.

1870

Captain Merrell purchased land in Round Rock from Freeman Smalley.  He hired french stonemason, Angria Smith to build the family home for $1,600.

1966
